Holland and English Lops stand out from other rabbits by hanging ears. Holland lops are smaller than English lops, which have a slightly elongated body. English Lops have volumetric ears, which demand specific care. They exhibit the following colors: fawn, tort, blue tort, solid broken and lynx. Holland lops can boast a considerably greater color variety. They occur in Opal, Chestnut, Agouti, black and blue, Otter, Lynx, pure black and pure blue, Dilute Tortoise, fawn, and such. Lionheads owe their distinctive name to a high stance and a gorgeous mane around the neck. They feature long erect ears, bright and brave eyes, and dense, medium length coat.

There are 24 recognized color patterns of Netherland Dwarfs and more are coming. Their coloring is classified in groups. For example, the first group includes Black, Blue, Lilac, Chocolate, Ruby Eyed White and Blue Eyed White. Group 2 (Shaded) comprises Siamese Sable, Tortoise Shell, Siamese Smoked Pearl and Sable Point. Squirrel, Opal, Lynks, Chinchilla make up the Agouti group. There are two more rabbit groups - Tan Pattern Group and Other Variety Group-consisting of ever more examples.

Angora rabbits are bred for wool spinning. They have long and fine white hair and may look pretty big, although they actually are medium sized. Due to the long experience in being sheared for wool, the German Angora has developed thick skin and strong, wooly hair. Angora rabbits are calm and gentle, which substantially facilitates care and shearing.
